Seat Height Adjustment Motor, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Torque wrench V.A.G 1410







- Engine and transmission holder VAS 6095







- Fixture for seat repair VAS 6136

NOTE: If motor is defective, replace upper seat pan frame.







1 - Bolts (Qty. 8)
- Tightening torque 17 Nm
2 - Screws, (2x)
- Tightening torque 10 Nm
3 - Seat pan upper frame with seat height adjustment motor

- Removal:
- Remove seat.
- Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
- Remove drawer.
- Remove side trim on sill side.
- Remove side trim on tunnel side.
- Remove the backrest.
- Remove belt buckle.
- Remove cover and padding from seat pan.
- Remove motor for seat tilt adjustment.
- Remove spring mat with wiring harness.
- Remove bolts - 2 - (2x).
- Remove bolts - 4 - (2x).
- Remove bolts - 1 - (8x).
- Replace upper frame of seat pan - 3 -.

- Installing:
- Install upper frame of seat pan with motor for seat height adjustment - 3 - in reverse order of removal.
4 - Screw
- 10 Nm
