Four-way Lumbar Support Motors, Removing And Installing
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Engine and transmission holder VAS 6095
- Fixture for seat repair VAS 6136
NOTE: On the drivers seat shown in the illustration, the four-way lumbar support height adjustment motor is on the left side and the four-way lumbar support motor is on the right side.
1 - Hook
2 - Four-way lumbar support release
3 - four-way lumbar support
4 - Retaining pins
5 - Idler pulley
6 - Rivets (4x)
7 - Four-way lumber support motors (Qty. 2)
- Removal
- Remove seat.
- Mount the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136 on the engine and transmission holder VAS 6095.
- Attach the front seat to the fixture for seat repair VAS 6136.
- Remove backrest cover panel.
- Remove connector - 8 -.
- Drill out rivets - 6 - (2x).
- Remove motor on opposite side the same way.
- Disengage release for four-way lumber support height adjuster - 9 - at hook - 1 -.
- Disengage four-way lumbar support adjustment release - 2 - at retaining pins - 4 - and at relay pulley - 5 -.
- Remove four-way lumbar support motors - 7 - (Qty. 2).
- Installing:
- Install four-way lumbar support motors - 7 - in reverse order of removal.
