Radio, Telephone, Navigation System Antenna R52 - Avant, Removing And Installing

Cables for roof antenna are routed differently. The antenna cables to Navigation System with CD Drive Control Module J401 and Satellite Radio R146 are routed to modules located on sub compartment in left rear luggage compartment.

CAUTION:
- Switch off all electrical consumers.
- Switch ignition off and remove ignition key.

Removing:
- Remove rear headliner trim.
- Remove luggage compartment lights.
- Remove left luggage compartment trim.
- Partially pull down rear headliner enough to access connections.







- Disconnect antenna cable connections at right D-pillar - arrow - and at modules on sub compartment.
- Loosen antenna cables up to antenna.







- Remove nut - arrow - (6 Nm).
- Remove antenna from roof.

Installing:
- Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
The washer under the retaining nut for the antenna has a gap through which the antenna cables must be guided.
