Lateral Accelerometer: Service and Repair



Transverse acceleration sensor G200 and Rotation rate sensor G202, removing and installing

Removing:
- Remove center console extension.
- Item 3, ESP sensor
- Item 1, A/C operating unit





ESP sensor is located in center console beneath ashtray.
- ESP sensor connector is located behind large wiring harness.





- Disconnect connector - arrow - for ESP sensor.





- Unscrew cap nuts - 2 - (2x).
Tightening torque for nuts: 10 Nm.

Installing
Remaining installation steps are carried out in reverse sequence.
- Install center console extension.

Note:
^ Transverse acceleration sensor is sensitive to severe shocks or jolts.
^ If the sensor has been dropped by mistake it may not work properly and must not be installed into the vehicle.
