Variable Convertible Top Compartment, Removing And Installing







1. Variable convertible top compartment
- Removing
- Move convertible top into such a position that convertible top compartment is open.
- Lift up side lining in convertible top compartment.
- Remove bolts left and right - 2 - (2x).
- Close convertible top.
- Open luggage compartment lid.
- Remove lid of convertible top compartment.
- Remove handle mount trim.
- Detach Bowden cables from clips.
- Using a large, flat screwdriver - 6 - , work along between convertible top compartment side section - 4 - and console - 3 - and carefully detach convertible top compartment from console - 5 - (secured with adhesive tape)
- Disconnect connector to microswitch - 7 - on right side.
- Detach Bowden cables from clips.
- Close luggage compartment lid.
- Move convertible top back into position "Convertible top compartment open".
- Second mechanic is required to lift out.
- Position handle mount trim on variable convertible top compartment.
- Remove luggage compartment side trim on left and right.

NOTE:
- The variable convertible top compartment must be lifted at sides of frame section, do not hold convertible top compartment in center and extend mechanism.
- Lift out variable convertible top compartment - 1 - at both sides on side sections - 4 -.
- Make sure Bowden cables do not catch.

2. Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque 2 Nm

4. Convertible top compartment side section
5. Flat screwdriver
6. Console
7. Microswitch connector
