Removing





- Separate right hand drive axle at flanges and tie-up between upper and lower transverse link.
- Place drip tray under final drive.
- Remove drive flange, to do this screw lower support of puller T10037 into housing (arrow).
- Lever seal out with a lever.

Installing





Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following:
- Drive new seal in onto stop using special tool VW 195.
- Fill space between sealing lip and dust lip with multi - purpose grease G 052 128 A1.





- Clamp drive flange in vice using vice clamps.
- Press circlip out of output shaft groove using new circlip - A -.
- Drive in drive flange using a synthetic head hammer.
- Replace drive flange/drive axle seal (pull off protective foil and glue seal into joint).
- Reconnect drive axle flanges.
- Checking transmission oil in rear final drive.
