Slave cylinder, removing and installing
Removing





- Release hose clamp -4- and disconnect intake hose and electrical connector - 1 from air mass meter.
- Remove hose -5- from air filter housing.
- Unscrew bolts -2- and - 3 -, then remove air cleaner housing (complete).





- Unbolt support bracket for gear selector cable from transmission and unclip hose (arrows).





- Lever off gear selector cable - A - and gate selector cable - B - using an open - ended wrench -1 -.
1- Standard open - ended wrench (13 mm), commercially available





- Remove bolts for slave cylinder (arrows).
- Take out slave cylinder.





- Pull lip - A - out of slave cylinder. Then pull pipe/hose assembly - C - of slave cylinder and close off end of pipe.

Installing





Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence. When doing this, note the following:
- Press in retaining clip - A - as far as it will go.
- Align recess on pipe with projection (arrow B) on slave cylinder.
- Push pipe - C - into slave cylinder until it engages audibly.
- Grease end of plunger with MoS2.
- After installing slave cylinder, bleed the clutch system.





- Press gear selector cable onto selector lever on transmission and press gate selector cable onto relay lever (arrows).
- Install cable support bracket on transmission. If necessary, push hose onto cable support bracket.
- Install air cleaner housing (complete).

Tightening torques
Clutch slave cylinder to transmission 26 Nm
Selector cable support bracket to transmission 25 Nm
