Headlight Bulbs, Replacing

Low beam bulb, replacing







NOTE:
- Left or right engine compartment trim must be removed prior to access to rear of headlight housing.
- High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) bulb, replacing
- Remove cover -11- from headlight housing.
- Disconnect electrical connection from low beam bulb -2-.
- Disengage wire clip and remove bulb from housing.

Installing

CAUTION: Do not touch glass portion of bulb with bare hands. Even the smallest amount of moisture and/or contaminants from fingers that evaporates on the bulb during operation can cause the glass to cloud over.

- Insert new bulb in housing.
- Secure bulb with wire clip.
- Re-connect electrical connection and install cover on headlight housing.
- Secure cover on housing with wire retainer.

High beam bulb, replacing






NOTE:
- Left or right engine compartment trim must be removed prior to access to rear of headlight housing.
- Removal and installation procedure is identical for normal (halogen) and High Intensity Gas Discharge (HID) lamps.

Removing
- Remove cover -11 - from headlight housing -1 -.
- Disengage wire clip on bulb holder -4- and take bulb holder out of housing.
- Remove bulb -3- from bulb holder.

Installing

- Install new bulb in bulb holder.
- Install bulb holder in headlight and secure with wire clip.
- Install cover on housing and secure with wire retainer.
