High-mount Brake Light

CAUTION: Before beginning repairs on the electrical system:

- Obtain the anti-theft radio security code.
- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the battery Ground (GND) strap.
- After reconnecting battery, re-code and check operation of anti-theft radio. Also check operation of clock and power windows according to Owner's Manual.

High mount brake light - Roadster, removing and installing

Removing
- Open rear lid and unclip luggage compartment light from trim.
- Pull luggage compartment light wiring harness out from trim so that the electrical connection for high mount brake light is accessible.
- Disconnect electrical connection for brake light and close rear lid.
- Carefully unclip cover for high mount brake light from the front (leading) edge towards the rear of the vehicle.


CAUTION: DO NOT unclip cover from the rear edge towards the front. Damage to cover and/or light assembly will result.


- Remove two retaining screws from top of brake light.

Installing
- Install in reverse order of removal.
- Ensure electrical connection is securely located in retainer.
