Vacuum Pump: Service and Repair

Brake system vacuum pump -V192-, removing and installing
There is no provision for repairing the brake system vacuum pump -V192-. The pump must be replaced if defective.

Removing
^ Unscrew hex bolt securing guard plate.





^ Unscrew bolts -1- on bracket for vacuum pump on left side of subframe.
^ Disconnect vacuum hose (arrow) from vacuum pump.
^ Unplug electrical connector.
^ Take out brake system vacuum pump -V192-.





^ To remove bracket (arrow), unscrew nut -2- from bolt -1- .
^ Remove bolt -4- and detach bracket.
^ To disassemble bracket further, remove bolts -3-.

Installing
Installation is performed in reverse sequence.
