1 - Spoiler
2 - Nut, outer
- Hand tighten after initial alignment.
3 - Nut, inner
- 5 Nm.
4 - Cover cap
- Roadster only
- Placed onto nut
5 - Glue/Adhesive bead
- Prior to gluing, prime spoiler with special primer part number D 181 711 A1.
- Cut nozzle of applicator back to opening of 7 mm Fig. 1.
6 - Gasket strip
- Foam strip must fit contour between spoiler and rear lid.







7 - Locating pin
- Ensures proper placement of spoiler on rear lid.

NOTE: For rear lids without locating pin holes, spoiler application requires use of special tool drill and assembly fixture, 66B2/ 00. Fixture is available for loan through your special tool supplier.

- Installation procedure for vehicles without pre-drilled locating pin holes for spoiler
