Crossmember For Roll Bar, Removing And Installing







1 - Crossmember for roll bar

- Removing
- Remove both roll bars
- Remove speaker assembly carrier
- Remove wind deflector or trim panel in place of wind deflector.
- Lift cover up slightly
- Remove protective covers for bolts - 4 -
- Remove bolts - 4 - (2x).
- Remove bolts - 3 - (2x).
- Remove bolts - 2 - (8x).
- Take roll bar crossmember - 1 - from vehicle.

- Installing

NOTE:
- Tighten bolts in following sequence.
- Bolt - 3 - with centering unit.
- Arrow points toward front of vehicle.

- Install bolts - 3 -.
- Install bolts - 4 -.
- Install bolts - 2 - diagonally.
- Before installing roll bar, check to be sure rubber guide is properly seated
- Perform installation in reverse order of removal.

2 - Bolts (8x)
- Tightening torque 20 Nm
3 - Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque 20 Nm
4 - Bolts (2x)
- Tightening torque 20 Nm







Raising convertible top
- Raise convertible top - A - slightly and place screwdriver - B - or plastic wedge between convertible top and convertible top storage compartment.







Removing protective cap
- Use a screwdriver to pry out cap - A -.
- Remove bolt - 4 -.
