Gas-filled Strut, Removing And Installing







- Press spring clips - 5 - slightly back at respective end using a screwdriver and pull gas-filled strut - 2 - off of ball stud.
- Rear lid stop - 3 -.
- Lid hinge - 4 -.

NOTE: When removing or installing the gas-filled strut, push back the opened rear lid only slightly so as to avoid damaging components.

Installing:

NOTES:
- Following complete removal of the gas-filled strut, check for correct positioning during installation.
- Attach tube end of strut at the rear lid.

- Clip in gas-filled strut at bottom first, then at top.
- To install, simply press gas-filled strut onto ball studs so that it engages in position.
- Ball stud tightening torque: 15 Nm - 1 Nm
