Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03)




Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)

NOTE:
- The Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) may only be performed while the vehicle stationary and the engine is not running.
- Any DTCs identified by the output diagnostic test mode must be traced and repaired.

The Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) activates the triggering of the anti-theft alarm.

NOTE: No A TWS-alarm can be triggered via this output DTM. To trigger an ATWS-alarm, perform Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) for the Central Locking Control Module Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03) or a function test

Function test of interior monitoring
- Open side window (or for TT Roadster, open convertible top) approx. 10 cm.
- Switch ignition off and remove key.
- Close all doors.
- Lock vehicle, activating the anti-theft warning system and interior monitoring system.
- Wait 30 seconds until the warning light in the door panel blinks in slow sequence every 2 seconds (f = 0.5 Hz).
- Insert hand into vehicle interior in proximity of sensor.
- If the interior monitoring is OK, the alarm will be triggered. Also, an entry will be made in DTC memory of the Central Locking Control Module (1370; alarm via interior monitoring) as well as in interior monitoring module (1463; alarm via sensor for ATWS, open or closed). DTCs must be checked and erased in DTC memory.
- Unlock vehicle, to deactivate alarm.

Performing function 03 -"Output diagnostic test mode"
- Press buttons -0- and -3-.

- Confirm input with -Q- button.

The control module will send an alarm activation signal to the Central Locking Control Module as a test.

- Press -> button.

This returns the testing module to the basic function mode.
