Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (Function 03)

The Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) is used to test the operation of the crash response system. When the airbags are triggered, the central locking system switches immediately to UNLOCK and the internal central locking switch is disabled. The hazard warning lights and the interior lights are switched on.

NOTE:
- Before performing the output diagnostic test mode, switch central locking to "lock" (operate internal central locking switch).
- Switch interior light switch to position "door contact."
- After the output diagnostic test mode has been completed, the central locking controls are not active until the ignition has been switched off and on again.

- Confirm input with -Q- button.

Signal: Open central locking system


The central locking system should switch to UNLOCK.

NOTE:
- After this step has been performed, DTC 01366 will be stored in the Central Locking Control Module.
- After completing Output Diagnostic Test Mode, check and erase DTC memory of Central Locking Control Module.

The hazard warning lights and interior lights should go on.

- Press the internal switch. The central locking system should remain in the UNLOCK setting (i.e. NOT switch back to LOCK).
