Sealing ring for differential cover, replacing
Removing
^ Remove right front wheel
^ Remove heat shield for right drive axle.
^ Remove right drive axle
^ Remove front left and front right exhaust pipes with
^ Remove right transmission support





^ Remove central bolt of right drive flange (arrow), while securing drive flange against turning using mandrel.
^ Place oil pan underneath.
^ Remove right drive flange.





^ Remove bolts of differential cover opposite indicated tightening sequence (-12- to A-) and remove differential cover





^ Replace sealing ring (arrow).

Installing





Tightening sequence:
^ 1. Stage: Tighten bolts -1-, -2- and -3- by hand.
^ 2. Stage: Tighten bolts -1- to -12- to final torque in sequence - 23 Nm.
^ Check and top off transmission fluid in rear final drive of automatic transmission.
^ Install right drive axle
^ Install front left and front right exhaust pipes with de-coupling element.





Tightening torques
Differential cover to transmission housing 23 Nm
Transmission support to transmission M10 40 Nm
Transmission support to transmission bearing M10 50 Nm
Transmission bearing to subframe M8 23 Nm
Right drive flange to transmission 25 Nm
Heat shield to transmission 23 Nm
