Oil pan, removing and installing
Special tools and equipment





^ VAG 1306 drip tray

Removing





^ Remove noise insulation panel (arrows).
^ Place VAG1 306 drip tray underneath transmission.





^ Remove ATF drain plug -1- and drain ATF.
^ Remove oil pan bolts diagonally in stages.

Installing
Clean all 4 magnets in the beads of the oil pan. Watch for full contact of magnets on oil pan.
^ Installation is the reverse order of removal, while noting the following:
^ Replace gaskets.

Note: The drain plug with the sealing washer must be replaced.

^ Refill with ATF.

Tightening torques
Drain plug to oil pan 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)
Oil pan to transmission housing (diagonally in stages) 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
