Rear 3-point Seat Belt (Avant), Removing And Installing

1 - Belt tensioner

Removing







- Remove rear seat bench.
- Remove bolt - 7 -.
- Remove luggage compartment side trim.
- Take off noise insulation cap - 2 -.
- Unclip belt tensioner igniter wire at lug - 4 -.
- Disconnect connector - 8 - at belt tensioner.
- Remove bolt - 3 - (1x).
- Remove 3-point inertia-reel seat belt - 1 - with anti-twist element.







Installing
- Insert belt tensioner - 1 - with anti-twist element.
- Clip belt tensioner igniter wire into place at lug - 4 -.
- Make sure that belt tensioner igniter wire is clear of belt webbing.
- Install noise insulation cap - 2 - into position after installing bolt - 3 - and belt tensioner igniter wire.
- Remainder of installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
- Belt-fastened sensor has to be checked on vehicles with belt tensioner.







2 - Noise insulation cap
- Align cap so it fits closely all around.
3 - Bolt
- Tightening torque: 55 Nm (41 ft lb)
4 - Lug
5 - Screws (2x)
- Tightening torque: 3 Nm (27 in.lb)
6 - Belt guide
- Remove screws - 5 - (2x)
7 - Bolt
- Tightening torque: 55 Nm (41 ft lb)
8 - Belt tensioner connector
9 - Trim plate for belt.
