Service Interval Display, Resetting, from MY 2000
Resetting the Service Display after performing the service, Audi A6, from VIN 4BYN 002 888.
Note Without using Scan Tool -V.A.G 1551- or Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System -VAS 5051-, the service interval will be automatically set to a set interval.

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Scan Tool -V.A.G 1551-
- Line -V.A.G 1551/3-
- Adapter -VAS 6017/B-
- Connect the Scan Tool -V.A.G 1551-

- Press the button 1 and 0 and then press the Q button to confirm.

- Press buttons 0 and 2.
- Press Q to confirm.
Note
Service display serves to remind the driver of service needed. The display appears in the center display.
Service indicators appears 1 month or 2,000 km before reaching service interval. It disappears after 100 km. Example display: After a total driving distance of 28,700 km, �SERVICE IN 1300 KM� appears.
The distance remaining to the service interval can be viewed via the center display menu by pressing the set clock button once.
When a service interval arrives, the text information appears in the center display for 5 seconds after switching ignition on. It is shown after automatic transmission message and a possible navigation system destination. Display: �SERVICE!�.

"1" means Service is activated; "SERVICE!" will appear in the instrument cluster.
Note: The service display is reset only through direct input.

Through the following adaptation values, the service interval is reset:
- Via the keyboard, enter the adaptation value -00000- to clear the service interval.
- Press the 0 button five times.

"0" means that Service has been reset; after releasing the Q button, "SERVICE IN 15000 Km" will appear in the instrument cluster.
Note 15000 Km is the starting value for the service display. Changing over to a greater kilometer setting can only be performed when the vehicle is being driven.
