Headlight Beam Adjusting Motors, Removing and Installing

Removing


NOTE: Always adjust headlights after adjusting motors are removed and installed or are replaced.







- Remove both bolts -1 - at air intake channel and then pull up at rear part of intake channel -2- (only for right headlight).
- Remove housing cover from headlight housing.

Vehicles with manual and automatic static vertical headlight aim control







- Disconnect harness connector -2-.
- Disengage retaining tab-1-: At right headlight by turning clockwise; at left headlight by turning counterclockwise.
- Pull ball head of adjustment axle out from ball head mount: At right headlight by pushing laterally to left; at left headlight by pushing laterally to right.

- Disconnect harness connector -1-.
- Remove bolts (arrows).
- Pull ball head -2- of adjustment axle laterally out from ball head mount.
- Remove headlight beam adjusting motor - 3-.

Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal.
