Air Ducts In Air Conditioner Unit







NOTE:
- Starting September 1998, there was a running change in production from the version 1 air conditioner to the version 2 air conditioner.
- The way air is directed over the air flaps in the air distributor housing differs between versions 1 and 2. Application and ID

A - Plenum chamber/dust and pollen filter
B - Front passengers footwell
C - Fresh air blower -V2-
D - Evaporator
E - Heater core
F - Not applicable
G - Division between driver's side and passenger's side
H - To instrument panel vents
- Modified position of central flaps to each other (-> central flap, item -5-)
J - To windshield vents
- Air is supplied to intermediate section for defroster duct for version 1 through two openings; in version 2 these are combined to one opening
K - To rear footwell vents
L - To footwell vent
M - Wire mesh


1 - Air flow flaps
2 - Fresh air/recirculated air flap
3 - Temperature flap 1
- One flap for driver's side and one for passenger's side
4 - Temperature flap 2
- One flap for driver's side and one for passenger's side
5 - Central flap
- In version 2, two outer flaps remain open slightly with center flap closed (angle between flaps is approx. 40 °C); in version 1 all flaps close uniformly
6 - Defroster flap
7 - Footwell flap
