Thermostat, removing and installing
Removing
The thermostat is located at the right front of the engine below the intake manifold.
- Drain coolant.
- Remove toothed belt from camshafts.





- Remove thermostat housing -arrows-.

Installing





Position of thermostat
Starts to open: 87° C (188° F)
Fully open: 102° C (215° F)
Opening travel: 8 mm (0.3 inch)

Note: Install with bleeder valve facing upward.

- Install thermostat housing.
- Install toothed belt on camshafts.
- Fill system with coolant.

Tightening torques
Thermostat Housing 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
