Front brake caliper piston, removing and installing
Special tools and equipment
^ 3409 wedge
^ G 052 150 A2 brake cylinder paste
^ T10145 Piston resetting tool
Removing

Note:
^ Insert brake pad -b- in piston. Place a wooden board -a- into the recess of the caliper housing to catch the pistons so they are not damaged.
^ Only one piston can be pressed out at a time. Hold the other piston securely in brake caliper housing using piston resetting tool.

Note: When removing, make sure that surface of cylinder is not damaged.
Installing
- Apply thin coat of brake cylinder paste G 052 150 A2 to piston and protective seal before installing.
- Use only appropriate solvent to clean surfaces of piston and protective seal, then dry.

Note: Hold piston in front of caliper housing for this procedure.

Note:
^ Insert piston in hole by hand and insert brake pad -a- in piston before inserting in brake caliper housing.
^ Outer sealing lip of dust seal will then engage in piston groove.
