Shift lever alignment, checking
^ The shift lever must rest in the 3rd/4th gear gate when the transmission is in neutral.

- Depress clutch.
- Check that all gears can be engaged.
^ The shift lever must not make contact with cover for center console when selecting gears.
^ The shift lever should return by itself from the 5th/reverse gear gate into the 3rd/4th gear gate.
^ It should only be possible to engage reverse gear from neutral when shift lever is in 3rd/4th gear gate.
^ It must be impossible to change from 5th gear directly into reverse gear.

Note: If only 5th and reverse gear cannot be engaged, the 5th and reverse gear locking module must be checked and replaced.
