Grease quantities and types
Grease CV joint with G 000 603 grease
Re-grease joint when replacing CV boot.





1. Hex bolt
^ Always replace after removal
^ Tightening torque:
Bolt M16: 190 Nm plus additional 180° (1/2-turn)
2. Outer CV joint

3. Snap ring
^ Always replace
^ Insert in ring groove of shaft before installation (not visible on installed joint)
4. Clamp
5. CV boot for outer Constant Velocity (CV) joint
^ Check for tears and chafing
^ Before tightening clamp, briefly raise CV boot to allow pressure to equalize.
6. Drive axle
^ Different versions - Go to see Parts catalog
7. Cover
^ Always replace
8. Gasket
^ Always replace
9. Snap ring
^ Always replace
^ insert in groove on shaft
10. Inner Constant Velocity (CV) joint
11. Backing plate
12. Socket-head bolt
^ M8: 40 Nm
13. CV boot with cap
^ Check for tears and chafing
^ Replace only as complete unit
