Shift mechanism cover, removing and installing

Removing
- Remove selector lever handle.





- Open ashtray in center console and remove trim panel (arrows).
- Remove 2 retaining screws for ashtray and lift rear of ashtray.





- Pry out a total of 4 retainer lugs (arrows) and lift off shift mechanism cover -1- complete with guide plates
- Unplug connector from the side of guide plate.

Installing
Install in reverse sequence, note the following points
- Install selector lever handle.
