Selector lever handle, removing and installing

Removing
- Shift selector lever into position "D".

- Turn sleeve -1- counter-clockwise and push down as far as it will go.
- Carefully pull button -2- out of selector lever handle until a cable tie can be pushed through between button and selector lever handle.

Note: Do not put the button out any further, otherwise the selector lever handle will be damaged.

- Use cable tie (arrow) to secure button when pulled out (see illustration).
- Remove selector lever handle by pulling upward.

Installing
Install in reverse sequence, note the following points:
- Shift selector lever into position "ID".

Note:
^ To install the selector lever handle -3-, pull the button -2- out as far as it will go and use a cable tie or the assembly aid supplied with the new handle to secure the button in position.
^ If the button was not secured in the way described above, it must not be pulled out of the selector lever handle using mechanical tools. Position a compressed air gun at the bottom of the handle and push out the button using compressed air.

- Push selector lever handle -3- onto selector lever as far as it will go (button -2- must point to driver). Handle must engage in annular groove on selector lever.
- Remove cable tie (arrow) or assembly aid. Button mechanism should then engage in vertical slot on selector lever. If necessary, push button into selector lever handle.
- Pull up sleeve -1- and engage by rotating it clockwise.
