Power steering gear, draining for disposal

Note:
When draining steering gear; ambient temperature should be at least 20°C (68°F).

- Turn steering pinion as far as it will go in direction of arrow.
- Clamp steering gear horizontally in vice.
- Place drip tray beneath steering gear.
- Saw off steering gear at marked location (arrow -A-).
- Hold sawn-off steering gear over drip tray and allow hydraulic fluid to drain off. If
necessary, turn steering pinion as far as opposite stop.
