Key Switch For Front Passenger Airbag Deactivation, Removing And Installing

- Removing:


WARNING!
Observe safety precautions for working on airbag.


- Remove glove compartment







- Use a screwdriver to carefully press back fasteners (arrows).
- Press out key switch for passenger's airbag -1- toward front.







- Insert key -3- into lock -2-.
- Destroy key switch -1- with key -3- inserted.
- Break out lock -2-.
- Press lock -2- with key -3- inserted into the new key switch -1- until lock -2- engages.


NOTE:
- After connecting the battery observe the necessary measures.
- If airbag malfunction warning lamp -K75- signals a malfunction after assembly, the DTC memory must be interrogated with vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051, then erased and re-interrogated.
