Test sequence
- Remove rear seat bench.







- Detach cover for flange -arrows- (right side).







- Carefully disengage and remove electrical harness connector -1- (right side of vehicle).







- Connect multimeter (resistance range) between contacts 2 and 3.







- If the resistance is 0 Ohm, there is a short circuit. If the resistance is Infinite Ohm, there is an open circuit in the wiring.


NOTE: To test the maximum and minimum resistance values for "tank full" and "tank empty", remove the fuel gauge sender I and move the sender float all the way to its top or bottom position.
