Seat Belt Buckle: Service and Repair




Front Anchorage Point For Belt Buckle

- Remove seat.







- Unscrew bolt -2- for buckle -1-.
- Tightening torque 24 Nm.
- For vehicles with "belt fastened" detector and belt buckle switch (only on driver's side, country-specific) remove wires from red connector housing.







- Using a screwdriver, lever out retaining hooks -4- on red connector housing -1-.
- Push red connector housing -1- through toward the rear.
- Wire pin -6- (2x) for "belt fastened" detector.







- Red connector housing -1- for belt buckle interrogation and main power supply.
- Release cable retainer -2- in direction of arrow by pryng out at cut-out -3-.
- Illustration shows cable retainer -2- in released position.
- Remove wires -4- for "belt fastened" detector from terminals 5 and 6; on driver's side (country-specific) also remove wires -4- for belt buckle switch from terminals 1 and 2.
- Open cable ties.
