Side Airbag (Electric Seat)removing And Installing

WARNING
Observe safety precautions for repairs to airbag and side airbag.

1 - Side airbag, driver/passenger side
- Removing
- Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap.
- Remove seat.
- Remove backrest cover panel.
- Release sleeve -4-.
- Pull out wiring harness -5- upward.
- Unscrew nuts -2- (2x) of side airbag -1-.
- Pry off metal tab -3-.
- Remove side airbag -1-.
- Detach clip -6- and carefully pull out wiring harness -5-.
- Installing
- Installation is in reverse order.
- Ensure that wiring harness -5- runs between seat frame and plastic guide -7- and that cable is not subjected to any tensile force.
- Fasten clip -6-.
- Switch the ignition on.


WARNING!
There must be no one in the vehicle when the battery is being connected.


- Disconnect battery ground (GND) strap.
2 - Nuts (2x)
- Tightening torque 5 Nm
- Replace
3 - Metal tab
4 - Sealing collar
5 - Wiring harness
6 - Clip
7 - Plastic guide


NOTE:
- After connecting the battery observe the necessary measures.
- If airbag malfunction warning lamp -K75- signals a malfunction after assembly, the DTC memory must be interrogated with vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051, then erased and re-interrogated.
