Vehicle With Front Wheel Drive



Fuel Delivery Unit And Fuel Gauge Sender, Component Overview







1 - Sender for fuel gauge -G-
- Testing resistance
2 - Fuel delivery unit
- Testing fuel pump (electrical test)
- Checking delivery rate
- Checking holding pressure
3 - Seal
- Always replace
- When installing, fit seal (dry) in opening in fuel tank
4 - Fuel return pipe
- From fuel filter
- Mark pipe before disconnecting
- Press release tab on connection piece to disconnect
- Do not kink
- Note direction of arrow (fuel supply or fuel return system) on flange when installing
- Clip onto fuel tank
5 - Fuel breather pipe
- From fuel pressure regulator in fuel filter
- Press release tab on connection piece to disconnect
- Do not kink
- Clip onto fuel tank
6 - Fuel supply line
- To fuel filter
- Mark pipe before disconnecting
- Press release tab on connection piece to disconnect
- Do not kink
- Note direction of arrow (fuel supply or fuel return system) on flange when installing
- Clip onto fuel tank
7 - Electrical harness connector
- For fuel pump and Sender for fuel gauge -G-
- Releasing, see Fig. 1
8 - Locking ring
- Remove and install using 3087 wrench
- Tighten to 145 Nm
9 - Suction jet pipe
- To remove, press release button on connection piece
10 - Suction jet pump

- To disconnect multi-pin connector at fuel delivery unit, first release retaining catch. This can be done manually or by using a small screwdriver -arrow-.
