Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory, scanning
- Connect VAS 5051 Vehicle Diagnosis, Measurement and Information System and in selection touch vehicle system 02 -Transmission Electronics. Ignition must be switched ON.





Display on VAS 5051:
- In selection touch -1- diagnostic function 02 - Scan DTC memory.





Display on VAS 5051:
1 - Contents of the DTC memory:
^ 0 DTC's detected

or

^ X DTC's detected

2 - DTC
^ DTC number
^ Location of DTC
^ Type of DTC

A - If DTC's were recognized:
- Print out contents of screen or OBD protocol.
- End function 02 - Scan DTC memory by touching < button.





Display on VAS 5051:
- Repair malfunction(s) using the Test Chart.
- In selection touch diagnostic function 02 - Scan DTC memory again and delete DTC memory.
- Touch 06 - End output.

B - If no DTC was detected:
- Touch 06 - End output.
