Test sequence

Sedan:
- Detach trim in luggage compartment.
- Fold down rear right seat backrest if necessary.

Avant:
- Remove 1/3 backrest, left.
- Remove left side trim of luggage compartment and protective pan.

All models:







- Detach cover for flange -arrows-.







- Disengage and remove electrical harness connector -1-.







- Connect multimeter (resistance range) between contacts 2 and 3.







- If the resistance is 0 , there is a short circuit. If the resistance is Infinite Ohm, there is an open circuit in the wiring.


NOTE: To check resistance values for "tank full" or "tank empty", the Fuel Pump (FP) must be removed and the sensor float must be placed in the upper or lower end position.


When the fuel gauge sender is removed, the arm of the float will travel further and the specifications are:
