Gas Discharge Light For Low Beam, Replacing

Caution high voltage!
Make sure to disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap before performing work on parts of High intensity gas discharge (xenon) headlights marked with yellow high voltage symbols.

Removing
- Remove headlight.
- Remove housing cover from headlight housing.







- Disconnect connector -1- at gas discharge headlight by turning counterclockwise -arrow-.







- Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove retaining ring for gas discharge light.
- Remove gas discharge light from headlight housing.

Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, noting the following:
- Insert new bulb into housing, do not touch glass portion with bare hands.


NOTE: Note installation position: Upper tab at bulb socket must engage at recess for light bulb.


- Secure gas discharge light using retaining ring.
- Secure housing cover using wire clamp.
- Install headlight.

Tightening torque
Retaining ring to headlight mirror: 1.3 Nm
