Evaporator Drain Tube: Service and Repair
Evaporator Housing Drain, Removing And Installing
Removing
- Remove glove compartment and passenger floor mat:
- Tilt carpet carefully toward back.
- Loosen clamp -A-
- Pull evaporator drain hose -B- with valve -C- out of vehicle floor.
- Remove evaporator housing drain with valve.
Installing
- Check distance of sound insulation mat in area of opening -E- to vehicle floor (the sound insulation mat should not touch the evaporator drain valve).
- Check evaporator drain valve -C-, the valve should not clotted with wax and under coating.
- Check evaporator drain hose -B- for soiling and clean before installing.
- Install evaporator drain valve -C- completely as illustrated (if necessary use soap as lubricant)
- Check evaporator drain hose -B-, hose should not be twisted or pinched and must be installed in the designated groove in floor mat.
- Loosen clamp -A-
- Install all components in reverse order.
