Brake pedal, assembly overview

WARNING: The brake pedal travel must not be shortened by additional floor coverings.

1. Dash panel cross member
2. Circlip (2 x )
^ Always replace
^ Fit onto pin
3. Pin
^ Insert into clutch pedal and brake pedal
^ Lock pin in pedal -arrow-.
4. Bracket
^ Stop plate for accelerator pedal
5. Hex socket head bolt, 10 Nm
6. Accelerator pedal module
^ Screw into pedal bracket
7. Combi bolt, 25 Nm
^ Tighten in vehicle after brake servo unit has been installed
8. Brake light switch
9. Clutch switch
10. Phillips-head bolts, 5 Nm
^ Must engage in recess of pin (Item 3 )
^ Do not tighten the bolt until the retaining washers (Item 2 ) have been installed.
11. Combi bolt, 20 Nm
^ Always replace
12. Brake pedal
^ Push in the pin
^ Audibly engage the brake pedal in the brake servo
13. Master cylinder
^ The seal must not be removed
14. Spring
^ White spring mounting to pedal bracket, black spring mounting to clutch pedal
15. Clutch pedal
^ Located in position by clutch master cylinder adjustment
^ Push on to pin, Item 3
16. Pedal bracket
17. Jointing pin
^ Install pedal bracket onto jointing pin
