Brake Pedal Mounting Bracket, Removing and Installing


Brake pedal mounting bracket, removing and installing
Special tools and equipment
^ Pliers T40024

Removing
- Remove storage compartment on driver's side





- Release the anti-rotation mechanism (Phillips-head bolt) -3- on the mounting bracket





- Press together connector -1- in the direction of the arrow and disconnect the brake light switch





- Rotate the brake light switch -1- counter-clockwise through 90° and pull it out.





- Release the brake pedal from the brake servo using pliers T40024.





- Unclip the circlip -1- on the right-hand side.
- Pull the pin out until the brake pedal is free.
- Take out the brake pedal.

Installing
- Guide the pin in through the brake pedal
- Do not tighten the anti-rotation mechanism (Phillips-head bolt) until the circlips have been installed.





- Attach the anti-rotation mechanism (Phillips-head bolt) -3- to the mounting bracket
- Attaching brake light switch, Refer to Lighting and Horns, Brake Light Switch, Service and Repair
The remaining installation steps are carried out in the reverse sequence:
