Removing and Installing Locking Module For 5TH Gear and Reverse Gear


Removing and installing locking module for 5th gear and reverse gear





- Remove heat shield - arrow 2- above right-hand drive shaft.
- Detach heat shield -arrow 1- above right-hand drive shaft and pivot downward.





- Remove locking module -arrow-.

Assembling locking module:





- Insert spring -1- into housing -2-, while exerting light pressure, turn spring to the left until it locates in the base of the housing.
- Insert bushing -3- into the spring so that the bent end of the spring locates in the designated groove.
- Push bushing -3- against spring and turn approximately one turn to left, until the lug on the bushing aligns with the groove in the housing -2-.
- Press lug on bushing -3- onto stop in the groove in the housing -2-.
- Turn bushing -3- clockwise and release; bushing -3- springs to installation position.





Installation position of bushing:
The lug (arrow -A-) on the bushing must always be opposite the groove in the housing (arrow -B-).
Check installation position:
- Turn bushing counterclockwise and release.
^ The bushing must spring back; the lug must lie against the stop direction of arrow A





Installation position of complete locking module in transmission:
The recess (arrow -A-) faces bolt (arrow-B-)
