Removing and Installing Speed Sensor on Rear Axle

Removing and installing speed sensor on rear axle
- Unfasten wheel bolts.
- Raise vehicle.
- Remove wheel.
- Switch off ignition.





- Unscrew hexagon bolt -2-.
- Pull speed sensor -1- out of axle beam.
- Undo Torx bolt -3- and pull out the cable holder.





- Unscrew hex bolt -1-.
- Undo Torx bolt -3- and pull out the cable holder.





- Unclip speed sensor wiring from retainers.





- Detach the underbody cover-see arrow
- Lift rear seat out of its catches.





- Release the cable holder -1-, disconnect the plug connection of the speed sensor cable and press out the grommet (left and right-hand sides are mirror images).

Installing
Install in reverse order.
- Grease the O-ring of the speed sensor all around with lubricating paste G 000 650 before inserting.
