Power Steering Fluid Reservoir: Service and Repair
NOTE: The power steering uses hydraulic oil, Part No. G 002 000 or equivalent.
1 - Cover with dipstick and seal
- Tighten securely by hand Note "MAX" and "MIN" marks on dipstick
2 - Washer
3 - Hex bolt
- Tighten to: 10 Nm (84 inch lbs)
4 - Fluid reservoir
- Capacity: approx. 0.85 liters (28 oz.)
- Clean strainer if necessary
- Checking hydraulic oil level:
- Let engine idle (wheels straight ahead) for approx. 2 minutes
- Stop engine
- Immediately check hydraulic oil level with marks on dipstick or reservoir
5 - Return hose
- Replacing: first remove brake booster
6 - Hose clamp
7 - Wheel housing
8 - Grommet
- Install in wheelhousing
9 - Hose clamp
10 - Supply hose
