Display Group 004: Overview

Read Measurement Block, Display Group 004 - Checking Solenoid Valves While Driving





^ The solenoid valves can be checked while driving using the VAG1551 scan tool and "Read Measuring Value Block" function 08, display group 004.

^ The table shows how solenoid valves 1-4 (-N88-, -N89-, -N90- and -N91-) are controlled in each selector lever position. The solenoid valves control the shift valves to the respective gears.

^ Solenoid valve 4 (-N91-) controls the shift valve for the convertor bridge clutch.

^ Solenoid valves 5 and 7 (-N92- and -N94-) are comfort valves that influence the shifting comfort, and are only actuated during shift operations. They are shown in display field 1, positions 5 and 6.

^ The solenoid valve switching condition is indicated in display field 1 with a 6-position display (0000 00).

^ A "0" is displayed for solenoid valves that are not switched.

^ A "1" is displayed for solenoid valves that are switched.

^ Variably switching solenoid valves are identified in the table with an "X" = variable switching condition.
