Instrument Panel, Removing & Installing


Instrument panel, removing and installing



1 - Nut: Remove radio for access
2 - Bolt (2x): 5 Nm (44 in. lb)
3 - Bolt (2x): 5 Nm (44 in. lb)
4 - Cover
5 - Nut: 5 Nm (44 in. lb)
6 - Washer
7 - Bolt (4x): 5 Nm (44 in. lb)
8 - Cover cap

Removing

CAUTION! Before disconnecting the battery, determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.




- Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.
- Remove parking brake lever trim. Service and Repair
- Remove rear center console. Service and Repair
- Remove front center console. Service and Repair
- Remove passenger side cover. Service and Repair
- Remove driver's side knee bar. Service and Repair
- Disconnect harness connectors. Service and Repair
- Remove instrument cluster. Service and Repair

Installing




- Loosely install bolts on side and bottom.
- Align instrument panel.
Distance from windshield approx. 7 mm (9/32 in.)
- With doors closed, adjust instrument panel height to contour of door trim panels.
- Tighten bolts to: 5 Nm (44 in. lb).
