Removal and Installation

Fig.30 Exploded View Of Rear Suspension.:

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheels.
2. Place a suitable support under lower suspension arm.
3. Remove inner pivot bolt from upper suspension arm, Fig.30 and loosen outer bolt.
4. Pull upper arm away from upper shock mount and position aside, do not allow excessive strain on brake fluid lines, axle boots and wiring.
5. Remove lower strut bolt.
6. Remove bolts retaining upper shock/suspension housing to body, then remove strut assembly. Do not remove upper strut bolt.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Loosely assemble and do not tighten to specification bolts for rubber bushed mountings until vehicle has been lowered to the ground.
b. Tighten all fasteners to specifications.
