Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Testing and Inspection

Test must be conducted with empty vehicle, full fuel tank and Driver's seat occupied.
1. Firmly depress pedal once (vehicle must be on ground).
2. Release pedal suddenly and ensure lever on pressure regulator moves.
3. Ensure brake system is properly filled and bled.
4. Connect gauge assembly tool No. US 1116, or equivalent, to left front and right rear calipers, according to manufacturer's instructions.
5. Bounce vehicle several times.
6. Bleed both hoses and gauge using bleeder valve on gauge.
7. Depress brake pedal until gauge on front axle reads 1450 psi. Hold for five seconds.
8. If rear pressure reading varies more than 145 psi within 5 seconds, replace pressure regulator.
