^ remove bearing cap
^ clean shells and journal
^ lay Plastigage across journal (arrow)
^ install bearing cap and tighten
^ stretch bolts: 30 N-m (22 ft.lb) plus 1/4 turn
^ rigid bolts; 59 N-m (44 ft.lb)

PG-1 green 0.025-0.076 mm
PR-1 red 0.05-0.15 mm
PB-1 blue 0.10-0.23 mm


CAUTION

Do not turn crankshaft

^ compare flattened width of Plastigage with measuring scale
^ new part: 0.010-0.058 mm (0.0004-0.0023 in.)
^ wear limit: 0.12 mm (0.005 in.)
