High Pressure Switch

Purpose and Operation
A high pressure switch is located in the high pressure supply pipe to the condenser. The radiator fan normally runs on 1st speed when the A/C is turned on and the high pressure switch is open.


The high pressure switch closes when high side pressure reaches about 200 PSI (15 bar). This will activate the radiator fan on 2nd speed to help cool the condenser and reduce the pressure.
