Load Compensator: Testing and Inspection

CHECKING




Quattro & Quattro Turbo

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove bleeder screws and connect adapters to left front and rear brake calipers.
3. Connect gauge US1016 or equivalent and bleed both hoses and gauges with bleeder valves on gauges.
4. Unlock parking brake cable on rear brake caliper.
5. Depress brake pedal until gauge for front axle reads 725 psi and ensure gauge for rear axle reads 508-566 psi.
6. Further depress brake pedal until gauge on front axle reads 1450 psi and ensure gauge for rear axle reads 841-899 psi.
7. If pressures cannot be maintained, replace regulator.
8. Bleed brake system.
