Modifications to K-Jetronic injection system
Starting February 1986, the following modifications will be made on the Audi 5000 CS Turbo and Audi 5000 CS Quattro:
Modification to: Resulting Effect:
- Fuel injectors (higher injection pressure)
- Injector lines (connection to fuel injectors made with metal pipe instead of flexible tubes)
- Mixture control unit (injector lines no longer connected with banjo bolts)
- Fuel pump (higher pressure)
- Accumulator (lower volume)
Because of these modifications, the system pressure increases as well as the injection pressure of the fuel injectors.
This Technical Bulletin contains all the necessary technical data. All repairs should be carried out as described in the Repair Manual.
